Gabriel is a Brazilian-born Aeronautical Engineer, who can charm his way equally well into interesting situations and out of the sticky ones. He leaves no stone unturned and no problem unresolved. His determination to follow a dream of sailing has led him on this path of discovery and adventure and he will doubtlessly continue on it for years to come.
I, Monika, am a Polish-Canadian Designer who likes to dream outside the box. I left the familiar, fast paced city life to leap into the unknown of a life at sea, and never looked back. Being a naturally cowardly cat, I face each challenge with petrifying panic, climb up the wall of my own limitations and hurl myself right into the deep of it, before I have a chance to think twice. Well, it's gotten me this far.
We started out of Toronto, Ontario four years ago, aboard our sloop "Rodeo". Follow this link to Rodeo pelo mundo to read about our life on the 37' veteran, as we cruised through North America and the Caribbean.
Since then, we have occasionally come back to land, and back into the real world, to work contract jobs and fill up the cruising coffers. In the last two years we also bought, refit and cruised on a new boat, Maracujá, a 43' Wauquiez, Amphitrite. Though we'd rather just see the world by the way of our floating home, we have been fortunate enough to be able to travel to some extraordinary places for work as well.
